The lines are taken from Rudyard Kipling's poem called The White Man's burden. According to Kipling, European countries had a duty to spread their religion and culture to those less civilized places. European believed in spreading Christianity across the world to establish their influence and saving Non-Christians from heathen. The cultures of the native people in the colonies considered to be inferior and pagan. Europeans like Britain converted the native into Christians with no tolerant attitude toward traditional religious.
