Yes. It is appropriate because it's true. We are all different people of different backgrounds. immigration is the reason for this. People came from all over the world and they still do and they bring their cultures from home. People all across america learn and celebrate different cultures like food, music, festivals and whatnot. But at the same time it is not true because people who are different have gone through hard times here in America. With the civil rights movement especially.

With the problems that we had with people being a different race or color has changed. American I trying to change for the better and are being educated on many problems. And we are still called a meeting pot because people from across the world are still going and there will be more in the future. America still has more to work on because of racial equality still but we know it will change for the better.
