Why did the hippies leave haight-ashbury at the end of the summer of love?

Explanation: Haight- Ashbury was the place to be in 1967. Hippies, celebrities, homeless people and many other eclectic individuals showed up. There is a famous photo of George Harrison of the Beatles at Haight-Ashbury. However, as the "Summer of Love" headed toward Fall, the overcrowded conditions, sanitation issues, disease, drug overdoses and deaths and the high rate of crime caused the hippies and others to leave the area.

On June 14, 1775, Congress voted to create the Continental Army from Boston militia units. Congressman George Washington of Virginia was appointed commanding general of the army. On July 6, 1775, Congress approved a Declaration of Causes outlining the rationale and necessity for taking up arms in the 13 colonies.
