Why is it illegal to be in a relationship with a teacher

First and foremost, why would you be in a relationship with a teacher? Your instructor is much older than you and has the authority to do things to you. Never take the risk of dating someone your age, 3 years or older than you.

My English instructor went to jail for sexually assaulting a child. He is a basketball coach and an English teacher, and the girl became pregnant as a result of his actions. She didn't want to be a part of the embersement, so she fled the city.

I wouldn’t say that it’s “illegal”, just that it probably breaks many of the rules that teachers have. So being in a relationship with a teacher will most likely get them fired. But if the teacher is having a relationship with a minor, then it’ll be a big difference, probably ending up with time in jail for the teacher.
