A commercial pilot finds it necessary to detour around a group of thunderstorms. The pilot turns at an angle of 21 degrees to the plane’s original path and flies for awhile on that path. He then turns and intercepts his original flight path at an angle of 35 degrees , 70 miles from where he left the original path. How much further did he have to go because of the detour?
