Excuse my crummy writing. Anyways, all I did was section this shape into smaller shapes that I can work with (triangles and rectangles). I'll link the picture below. The area of the blue triangle is 4.5. The area of the purple triangle is 13.5. The area of the red triangle is 3. The area of the orange and the black rectangles (they're identical) is 18. Add these areas up to get the total. 4.5 + 13.5 + 3 + 18 + 18 = a grand total of 57 units
