Between each point of "5" there are 10 little squares in between and each number passes every 2 little squares. So we can use this to solve the questions.
Part A:
Count all the pupils who scored "more" than 7 using the assumption we made above.
12 scored more than 7
Part B:
Since we know that 14 scored more the seven, count all of the pupils who scored 7 and less.
15 scored a seven or less.
Add both numbers.
12 + 15 = 27 total pupils
Part C:
The assumption we had to make was to count each two little squares that represent one pupil to find the answer for Part B.
