HELP!!!
1. The mean score on a national exam is 1,200 with a standard deviation of 230. A college states that their incoming freshmen have higher scores than the national average. In order to confirm the statement, a reporter collects a random sample of scores from 300 incoming students. He finds their mean score is 1,300. Is the college correct?
2. The results reported are based on telephone interviews with a randomly selected national sample of 1,154 adults, 18 years and older. For results based on the whole sample, one can say with 95 percent confidence that the maximum error attributable to sampling and other random effects is plus or minutes approximately how many percentage points?
3. A school newspaper conducted an interview polling how many students have at least one dog at home. If the data they received has a standard deviation of 0.3 and a margin of error of 3%, about how many students were polled?
