How can u multiple a fraction by a whole number

It’s easy peasy.
So

Let’s say you’re multiplying
2 x 1/4

You put a 1 under the 2 and that makes 2/1 because that is still 2 but just in fraction form. Any number over one is just that number.

So now we have

2/1 x 1/4

You multiply across the top and across the bottom.

So then we’d get

2/4

A fraction is another way to represent division.  Let's have 1/2 as the fraction and 5 as the whole number.  To multiply them, you multiply the whole number by the numerator of the fraction.  In this case we get 1*5 = 5, which will be the numerator for the solution.  The denominator will be the original denominator of the fraction.  In this case, we will get 5/2.
