6x + 7y = 59...multiply by -4
4x + 5y = 41...multiply by 6

-24x - 28y = - 236 (result of multiplying by -4)
24x + 30y = 246 (result of multiplying by 6)

2y = 10
y = 10/2
y = 5

4x + 5y = 41
4x + 5(5) = 41
4x + 25 = 41
4x = 41 - 25
4x = 16
x = 16/4
x = 4

solution is (4,5)
