The difference of twice a number and 10 is 20

2X + 10 = 20
because its asking the difference of twice the number which is 2x. And 10 is plus instead of -10. It did not ask you to -10 because there is no indication to that so your +10.

The smaller the number of pieces, the larger the pieces are. for example, if you cut a pie in half, you will have two very large pieces. if you cut the pie into eighths, you will have eight much smaller pieces.
