You have to solve this as system

Let x be a general admission ticket
Let y be an upper reserved ticket

{x+y=676 Multiply by (-6.5)
{6.5x+8y=4902.5

{-6.5x-6.5y=-4394
{6.5x+8y= 4902.5

-6.5y+8y=507.5

1.5y/1.5=507.5/1.5
y=338.33

Substitute x in y

x+338.33=676
x=676-338.33
x= 337.667

So the general admission tickets= 337.677
And the upper reserved tickets= 338.33

Well, first you can combine the like terms
5t + 2t - 6t = 7t -6t = 1t or just t

then you have; t + 3 = 4 + 12
you can then add 4 and 12 which equals 16

t + 3 = 16
-3 -3 then you subtract 3 on both sides
and get ...

t = 13 thus your answer :)
