Synthetic Division:

x - 3 = 0   ⇒  x = 3

Remainder Theorem:

f(x) = 10x⁴ - 6x³ + 5x²  - x  +  1

f(3) = 10(3)⁴ - 6(3)³ + 5(3)² - (3)  +  1

     =  810   - 162    + 45    -  3  +  1

     = 691
