Practice Activity:
.
In this experiment, the team will need to set up three different cups and label them as A,
B, and C. All three cups will get the same amount of water added to them. In order to
see how kinetic energy is transferred, the team needs to measure the initial
temperatures of each cup and record that in the data table, and then add different
amounts of ice to cups B and C. The mass of each amount of ice will be recorded in the
data table. After each ice cube melts, the team will record the temperature of the water
in each cup.
o The change in temperature will tell the team how much kinetic energy was
transferred from the water to the ice.
Think about how one can work effectively in a team to set the experiment up.
gather data, and analyze the data.

Explanation:
Ответ:
The potential energy of the rock before it began to fall is 4900 J
Explanation:
Force is defined as the mass multiplied by the acceleration of the object.
where,
F = force exerted on the object
m = mass of the object
g = acceleration due to gravity
Potential energy is defined as the energy possessed due to the height of the object.
Mathematically,
Or,
where,
F = force applied on the rock = 98 N
h = height of the bridge from where the rock is thrown = 50 m
Putting values in above equation, we get:
Hence, the potential energy of the rock before it began to fall is 4900 J
