The settlement of America is the process of dispersal of the human species in the American continent. Except for the uninterrupted communication between Eskimos and Paleoeskimos from Alaska and Siberia and the case of a few brief Viking settlements in America, on the coast of Canada and Greenland, there is no conclusive evidence to support a transoceanic contact between pre-Columbian America and the rest of the world.
