Explanation:The life cycle of plants are very interesting in nature. The plant body that we see is the sporophyte. The sporophyte plant has the flowers which contain the Pollen mother cell and embryo sac which are the gametophytes.
These gametophytes produce the cells that are gametes which are pollen and ovule respectively. These grains fuse to form fertilization and zygote. The zygote marks the starting of the sporophytic generation.
The sporophytic generation is diploid and the gametophytic generation is haploid in nature.
