Rebecca was scratched by her cat and noticed redness and several swollen lesions appeared at the site of infection. She became concerned as her headache, fever and pain persisted, and went to an urgent care center. The doctor examined Rebecca and detected several buboes at the site of infection. The doctor sent a blood sample to the laboratory. The blood test showed the presence of antibodies involved in fighting the infection.
