1) “Everyone needs to do their part to make the evening a success,” Jasmine said. (2) She stood before a group of white-clad chefs in the cozy kitchen of Barter and Sons Restaurant. (3) She had given cooking assignments to everyone in an effort to organize the food preparation for the impending wedding reception.
(4) The group scattered as the chefs began their tasks. (5) Suddenly Jasmine noticed that two people were standing still and looking confused. (6) She groaned mentally as she realized it was the two worst chefs—Marissa and Hani.
(7) Marissa raised her hand.
(8) “What do you want Hani and I to cook?” she asked.
