For this project, you will need to select a fictional work, either a novel, novella, or a substantial short story of your choice. The fictional work must deal in some way with a legal/moral issue. You will then examine the legal/moral issue in the text and make an argument about what you think the text/author is saying about that particular legal/moral issue. This 5-7-page paper requires you to have a well-developed, clearly articulated thesis statement from which the rest of the essay will flow. In addition to your primary source (the novel or film you choose), you must also make use of at least two scholarly, secondary sources to support your argument.

Warren explains the students’ position, then describes how it has been previously handled by the courts.
Explanation: The first part of Warren's speech is about how African-American children aren't welcomed in Caucasian schools, and they want the racism and hatred towards them to stop. During the other parts of his speech, Warren talks about African-American history and why the things are the way they are today, as well as talking about other problems that were at the time being handled by courts. The main thing on this is discrimination.
Hope this helps. HAVE A BLESSED AND WONDERFUL DAY! As well as a great last days of Black History Month! :-)
