Lance wrote this blog post:

At first, I thought I couldn’t possibly be interested in a story set in A.D. 793, but I was wrong. Viking marauders invade Saxon Britain, and Jack, an apprentice bard, or storyteller, is kidnapped and forced to apply his storytelling skills to become a skald, or poet and bard to the Norseman who took him captive. Despite witnessing the violence and destruction wrought upon Britain by his captors, Jack also witnesses courage and honor, both of which compel him to survive. I recommend The Sea of Trolls to anyone who enjoys well-written historical fiction.
