Most of the feminists we learn about in school are described as focused on fighting one cause. For example, Susan B. Anthony fought for women’s suffrage and Rosa Parks fought for desegregation. However, Rosa Parks was fighting for two forms of oppression- racism and sexism. It is important to recognize intersectional experiences and their effect on activism.
