2/3 = 8/12 and 3/4 = 9/12
Step-by-step explanation: You need to find the LCD (Least Common Denominator) by listing the factors. For example: 1/3 and 4/5
3: 3, 6, 9, 12, 15 ect.
5: 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 ect.
The lowest number they both have in common is 15.
Do that with the 3 and 4 from 2/3 and 3/4
3: 3, 6, 9, 12
4: 4, 8, 12, 16
The LCD there is 12.
Now you have 2/12 and 3/12
You need to multiply the top number (2 in 2/12) by 4 (which is 8), since thats what we did to get 12 on the bottom number.
Next do that with the other fraction.
Now you have 8/12 and 9/12!
Sorry if it is a little unclear, its kinda hard to explain.
