Sport City has the better deal
Step-by-step explanation:
At Sport City, the cost of the tennis racket would be:
180 ⋅ 0.85 = $ 153
(I used 0.85 instead of 0.15 because 0.15 is finding the discount amount, not the actual amount after the discount. Got 0.85 by subtracting 0.15 from 1.)
At Tennis World, the cost of the tennis racket would be:
$ 200 ⋅ 0.80 = $ 160
(I used 0.80 instead of 0.20 because 0.20 is finding the discount amount, not the actual amount after the discount. Got 0.80 by subtracting 0.20 from 1.)
Sport City has the better deal because after the discount it is selling the racket for
$ 153
, while Tennis World is selling it for
$ 160
. Tennis World is selling it for
$ 7
more than Sport City.
