(b) any rods that are shorter than 20. 83 cm or longer than 21. 17 cm are discarded. What proportion of rods will be discarded?
(c) using the results of part (b), if 5000 rods are manufactured in a day, how many should the plant manager expect to discard?

Top left pic: Alternate exterior
Top right pic: None of them
Middle left pic: Corresponding
Middle right pic: Alternate interior
Bottom pic: Corresponding
Explanation:
The transversal is the line that goes through the other 2 lines.
Alternate angles are on opposite sides of the transversal:
Alternate exterior angles are on Alternate interior angles are onopposite sides of the transversal opposite sides of the transversal and on the outside part of the lines. and on the inside part of the lines.
Corresponding angles are on the same side of the transversal.
But, the 2 angles have to be on the same side of the lines it's on.
For example, in the picture below, figure 2 has the numbers on top of both lines. Figure 3 has the numbers on bottom of both lines. But, figure 1 has number 1 on top of the line and number 2 on the bottom of the line. So that's why figure 1 is "none of these."
