A good way to remember how trigonometry works is SOH CAH TOA
Sin - Opposite / Hypotenuse
Cosine - Adjacent / Hypotenuse
Tangent - Opposite / Adjacent
Since we've been given the length of the adjacent and opposite side of the angle, we can use tan -1 in order to solve for the angle.
Since trigonometry relies on the value of the angle to solve for sides, we can't use the normal tan in a calculator. Instead, we use tan -1, which essentially allows us to solve for the angle with given lengths of sides.
tan -1(17/41) = 22.52
