g Two objects, Object A and Object B, collide inelastically and stick together to form Object AB. Object A has a mass of 5.0 kg and was initially moving in the x direction with a speed of 2.5 m/s. Object B has a mass of 3.0 kg and was initially moving in the -x direction with a speed of 1.5 m/s. After this first inelastic collision, Object AB then collides elastically with Object C, which has a mass of 0.50 kg and was initially at rest. As a result of this collision, Object C flies off in the x direction with a speed of 16 m/s. Assuming momentum is conserved, what is the final velocity of Object AB after its elastic collision with Object C

Ответ:
Option (C) is correct.
A projectile is an object launched at an angle with the horizontal and allowed to move freely under the effect of gravity alone.
Thus the only external force acting on a projectile is the force of gravity. There may be the force of air friction acting but for all practical purposes, we neglect its effect.
Thus only force of gravity acts during projectile motion.
