Consider the following questions:
1. Are some people naturally bad?
2. At what age are we fully responsible for our actions? What is the youngest
age we should be punished as an adult?
3. What does 'crime doesn't pay' mean? Do you agree?
4. Is the death penalty ever a just punishment?
Should the goal of prison be to punish or rehabilitate? Can a person really
change?
6. What legal behaviours do you think should be illegal? Why?
7. What illegal behaviours do you think should be made legal? Why?
8. Do you believe rich people are more likely to get away with crimes? |
9. Is the justice system, under which we currently live, really fair?
10. How far do you agree that society will always have crime?
a) There is great value in considering each and all of these questions and
making brief notes on each.
b) Choose one of these questions and write a developed response to it. Draw on
real life examples from research (either fiction or non fiction examples) where
you can. Aim to write 350-500 words.
