Read the passage below. Then, answer the writing prompts. *B* I jumped out of bed as my alarm blared. "Wake up, Sleeping Beauty," I barked at my twin brother, Mark, "it's Saturday!" I turned my alarm clock off and began rooting through my drawers for a clean shirt.

"So what?" my brother mumbled, as he pulled his pillow over his head. I yanked the pillow away from his face.

"So you promised to help Ahmet with me. Come on; I told him we would be there at eight." Mark propped himself up on his elbow and looked at me.

"You just want to stare at his little sister like a creep," Mark said, "while she sits and reads in a corner."

I glared at him. "Kaniya's cool; you just don't know her," I said, throwing my dirty pajama pants at him.

"Eww, dude!" Mark said, jumping out of bed. "I don't know why you want to go out with somebody like that; you're not exactly Einstein."

I looked at my brother pleadingly. "Don't mess this up for me, OK, Scrooge? I want to ask her to homecoming, but she doesn't even know I exist."

"Alright, Romeo," Mark sighed, "let's go."
