Athenian democracy was discriminatory.
Explanation: Modern critics of Athenian democracy point out that it was just a prototype of modern political structures. There is a lot of criticism of the ancient democracy of Athens, mostly because only Athenians older than thirty were eligible to participate. Among the ancient Greeks, Athenian democracy had critics as well. Aristotle and Plato, the great Greek philosophers and thinkers, pointed out that the poor, who are numerous with democracy, is endangering a smaller, rich layer of the population. Many Athenians felt that ordinary individuals were fit to govern and might make some errors. Thucydides pointed out that, to force democracy on them, people are too gullible.
